Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Arturo Pacheco (Chilean tax ID / RUT 16.658.228-8), doing business as Drift Studio in Chile ("we", "us"), for using Your Toxic Love ("YTL"). By creating an account or using the app, you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

How we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.

1. What YTL is and isn't

YTL helps you write down what happens in your relationship, organize those records and see patterns. It includes artificial intelligence features (Mike and analysis) that explain concepts and describe patterns for guidance only.

YTL is not:

• an emergency service. If you're in danger, call your country's emergency number. In the app, Settings → Help lines shows the ones near you;
• therapy, or psychological or medical care;
• legal advice;
• a diagnosis, of you or of anyone else.

AI can be wrong or miss things. Use it to help you think, not to make important decisions without talking to a professional.

2. Who can use it

You must be 18 or older. You can use YTL without an account, or create one with Apple or Google. If you create one, it's personal: don't share it. Keep your phone secure.

3. Your content

• What you write is yours. We claim no rights over it.
• It's stored encrypted on your phone and only leaves it when you use Mike, analysis or cloud transcription, as the Privacy Policy explains. By using those features, you authorize us to send that content to the providers that make them work, solely to respond to you.
• You're responsible for what you write and how you use it. Laws on recording conversations or keeping other people's messages vary from country to country: check them before recording, or before using that material outside the app, for example in a legal proceeding.
• YTL doesn't verify what you write. A YTL report or PDF reflects your records; it is not certified evidence.

4. If your data is lost

Your data lives on your phone and its key in your iCloud Keychain; we have no copy. If you lose your phone and didn't have iCloud Keychain and iCloud Backup turned on, if you lose access to iCloud, or if you delete your account, the data can't be recovered. We recommend keeping iCloud Keychain and iCloud Backup on, and exporting anything important to you as a PDF.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use YTL to:

• harass, monitor or harm another person;
• gather someone's data in order to expose them publicly;
• break the law;
• try to access other people's accounts, our servers or our providers' servers;
• copy, decompile or resell the app;
• try to make the AI features produce harmful content.

We may suspend or close an account that doesn't follow these terms.

6. Subscriptions

• Some features require a subscription. Help lines are always free.
• The price, the length and any trial period are shown in the app before you buy.
• Payment is processed by Apple, through your App Store account.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. If you have a free trial and don't cancel before it ends, you'll be charged for the first period.
• You can cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its terms.
• If we change the price, Apple will notify you in advance and you can cancel.

7. The app and your license

Your license to use the app is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms supplement it. YTL's name, design, text, illustrations and code belong to us or to their authors.

Mike, AI analysis and cloud transcription have a monthly usage cap, which the app shows you and which resets on the 1st. We may change, improve or remove features. If we decide to shut down the service, we'll give you reasonable notice so you can export what you need.

8. Liability

We do our best to make YTL work well and protect your data, but the app is provided as is: we don't guarantee it will run without interruptions or errors, or that the AI will be right. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based on the app.

Nothing here limits the rights you have under your country's consumer protection laws, or our liability where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

9. Ending use

You can stop using YTL and erase everything at any time, from Settings → Account → Delete account or, without an account, Settings → Account → Erase everything on this phone. We may close an account that doesn't follow these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we'll let you know in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using YTL afterwards, you accept it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Chile. If you're a consumer living in another country, you keep the rights your country's laws give you.
